Chinese holiday witnesses 80 mln domestic crowds

The famous three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday of China is coming to an end on this coming Sunday. The festival witnessed a total of 79.61 million domestic tourists coming to the province, as per the predictions made by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

During this Chinese holiday time, revenue from domestic tourists went up to 25.82 billion yuan i.e. 3.85 billion U.S. dollars, as noted by the ministry.

The cultural and tourism market of China during Dragon Boat Festival holiday has adhered to a stable, safe and well-arranged operation, the ministry said.

Also known as Duanwu Festival, this Dragon Boat Festival is China’s traditional holiday. On the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, this festival is celebrated and in 2022, it fell on Friday.
