
Koh Phangan Aims to Promote Long-Term Sustainable Tourism

On Apr 16th there was a Full moon party in Koh Phangan along with Songkran holiday. These events helped this Thailand Island to get its highest occupancy rate since January at 85-90 percent.
However, Chantana Limsuwan, president of Koh Phangan Hotel Tourism Association said that only 70 percent of the 600 hotels were open. She also added that recent party witnessed the room rates to recuperate to the levels of pre-pandemic.
The average room rate during Full moon party in pre-pandemic times was B 1, 500 ā 2000 per night while beachfront hotels at Haad Rin cost B 3,000 ā 4000.
