The 2022 Bike Week to help tourism of Sumatra

The Harley Davidson Club Indonesia arranged the 2022 Sumatra Bike Week. It is hoped to help the national tourism and financial recovery.
Jeffrey Eugene, HDCI Deputy Chairperson, said that they want to lead the way in tourism revival. This was said on Sunday in a press conference in Senayan.
In the event, around 3,000 motorcyclists are expected to take part. From their respective regions, the participants will start touring the city of Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. From June 30 to July 3, 2022, the 2022 SBW event will take place at the Kantin Field, Bukittinggi.
For the local micro, small, and medium enterprises, a minimum of 60 booths will be provided for free who would promote their products.
He said that they expect this move will offer positive effects to West Sumatra’s local MSMEs so that the economy of the region can get better.
Live music performances, photography competition, dance performances, followed by a food festival and a voluntary social service can be found at this event. A target of 20,000 participants has been done by HDCI.
Husdi Karyono, Tthe Secretary General of the HDCI, mentioned that this proposed event is expected to bring the members of the HDCI together in encountering challenges in terms of the taboo that exists toward riders of heavy motorcycles. The participants of this motorcycle touring event are requested to adhere to all rules and terms and conditions related to traffic.
